INGREDIENTS
1 bagel
2 organic eggs
2 tablespoons water
Salt and pepper for seasoning
Butter or ketchup (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
1
Cut open one plain bagel lengthways down the side. Leave it to stand on the work surface but close both pieces to prevent the air getting to it
2
Crack open two organic eggs into a mixing bowl and whisk the eggs thoroughly
3
Add two tablespoons of water from the tap into the eggs and whisk water in
4
Add four tablespoons of vegetable oil into a non-stick frying pan and on a low heat bring the oil to a medium heat for one minute
5
Pour your whisked eggs into the vegetable oil and allow the eggs to simmer lightly in the oil for a few moments without being disturbed. This will create a firm base and allow you to fold over the eggs like you would an omelet
6
Add a pinch of salt and black pepper for seasoning
7
Gently shake the frying pan to stop the scrambled egg mixture from sticking and with a spatula fold the eggs in half but do not scramble the eggs
8
Add the folded scrambled eggs directly from the frying pan on to the bagel without braking them. This is a cleaner option to real scrambled eggs and makes it easier to eat. But not to worry it taste exactly the same
TIPS & ADVICE
You can make your scrambled egg bagel healthy by making the scrambled eggs in the microwave.
Add the mixture to the microwave with suitable bowl and heat for one minute. Remove from microwave and scrambled eggs in the bowl.
